Data Collection - Use students data to calculate averages and draw scatter graphs
This is a set of 4 lessons where the students collect data about themselves and then use it to explore and see if the 4 hypothesis they have are correct. For example you arm span and your height, are they the same? Is it true for a set of people? You then go on to calculate averages and draw scatter graphs etc. The students enjoy it as the data is about them and they are very often surprised about the results. I have created all of the worksheets to just print out. And a list of instructions are embedded. This will generally take a week to complete, but you can then keep the data and use it during the year for any Stats that you teach.
