Detailed, student and teacher friendly, task by task powerpoint, starter tasks, differentiated and colour coded success criteria (WILF), keywords, and extension tasks that explore the cultural Mexican fesitival ‘El dia de los muertos/The day of the dead’. A perfect project for the Autumn term.

Tasks are aimed at KS3 students but could be adapted for KS2/4.

Tasks:
1 observational drawing task of a skull with resources to aid and differentiate. (A03)
1 mindmap task exploring the festival (A01) inspired by the CGBros CGI animation.
1 design task based on Huichol patterns and symmetry to explore ideas to create a personal response (A02)
1 2D relief clay task suitable for airdry clay aswell as kiln fired (A04)
1 alternative outcome that could be adapted using the same success criteria, cardboard skull painting with embroidery.

All tasks have coloured step by step photographs to show process.
Set in Open Dyslexic font and on buff coloured background to aid all learners.
