Most resilience assemblies say: don’t give up. This one says: a wrong turn is not a verdict. This is not a standard motivational presentation. It is a practical pastoral resource with differentiated versions for KS2, KS3, KS4, and KS5 that reframes how students respond to going off course - showing them that a wrong turn is not a verdict on their identity. It is simply a cue to recalculate.

Using the familiar logic of a sat nav, students are encouraged to see mistakes, setbacks and wrong turns as part of the journey rather than proof of failure. The assembly introduces a simple concept: changing direction does not require a complete restart or a dramatic transformation. It starts with a small adjustment repeated over time.
