2 . Reasons for a child’s behavior.
The Cognitive Triangle.
Learning Styles. Teachers delve into the underlying causes of anger and explore how the cognitive triangle demonstrates the relationship between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

  1. Group work: “The Discipline Dilemma” Case studies. Teachers worked in teams and discussed allocated case study. It was their 1st collaborative work and PD. They created a “Discipline Flowchart or step-by-step processes” on how they will deal with a common issues in each Case Study. They selectively shared ideas and found the solutions to the problems. Followed by the Group work presentation and collective feedback from the other teams.

  2. Stations Rotations. Teachers work in the groups and complete each Station task. Each station includes a hands-on task + discussion. Groups presentation and receiving feedback from the other teams.

  3. Meet our team (adjust to match your team members).
    Introduction to discipline processes: what teach should do.
    Examples of teachers record-keeping: .Behavior Logs & ABC (Antecedent-Behavior-Consequence)
    Charts to track patterns in behavior to identify triggers and assess intervention success.
    Social Skills & Progress Checklists to break down complex skills (e.g., social interactions) into achievable steps.
    Incident & De-escalation Reports to document severe behaviors (e.g., aggression, self-harm) to assess safety and intervention needs.
    Five Levels of Behavioral processes and consequences (in our school).
    Minor and Major Behaviors (in our school).
