All three Diya & Dot Diwali (Divali) resources for KS2 in one bundle: about a week of Diwali lessons across English, RE and maths, for less than buying them separately.

What’s inside

  • Diwali Comprehension KS2: Three Levels (21-page A4 PDF): one information text at three reading levels, retrieval and inference questions, vocabulary cards, a Venn diagram, a writing task, exit tickets and full answer keys
  • What is Diwali? KS2 RE PowerPoint Lesson: 18 editable slides with a teacher script in the speaker notes, a “Diwali in the UK” slide, a quick check, rangoli design sheets and exit tickets
  • Rangoli Lines of Symmetry: Diwali Maths (14-page A4 PDF): symmetric or not, draw and count the lines, complete the rangoli, design your own, a turn-symmetry extension and answer keys

Suggested week

Start with the PowerPoint lesson, then two lessons on the reading unit (each pupil reads Level A, B or C), then finish with rangoli symmetry in maths and the writing task.

Written with care

Hindu, Sikh, Jain and Buddhist traditions are described respectfully and as beliefs. The illustrations are simple vector drawings made in code: no photographs, no AI image generators and no images of gods, goddesses or Gurus. The text was fact-checked and reviewed by Diya & Dot (September 2026). Diwali 2026 is on Sunday 8 November.
