Drama Activities for Years 9–11

30 structured Drama worksheet lessons, each with teachers’ notes, plus general guidance and warm-up exercises in a 65-page PDF. Four sections develop mime, games and group activities, improvisation and roleplay, and performance.

Activities progress from simple gestures and group games to character development, stories, improvisations and complete performances. Examples include mime mirrors, instant stories, headlines, Balloon Flight, invisible props, ghost stories, Changing Faces and Soap Saga.

Designed for mixed ability students in Years 9–11, for specialist and non-specialist teachers. Work through the course in sequence or choose stand-alone lessons to suit the group. Teachers’ notes give aims, preparation and classroom guidance, with differentiation and extension activities where appropriate. Most lessons allow about an hour including a warm-up; performance activities can extend into a second lesson for rehearsal and refinement.
