This is a project designed for KS3 it focuses on reminding about basic drawing skills and key words. I will be using this with a Year 8 class.
There are a range of activities from tracing, using a viewfinder, using a grid and observational drawing. As well as oil pastel mono-printing.

The activities are based around the theme of tools and inspired by Michael Craig Martin and Jim Dine.

Each lesson has a video tutorial to go with it which can be accessed on YouTube.

Students will learn about drawing, using proportion and scale, adding tone and shading.

Lesson 1- Creating a traced layered line drawing inspired by Michael Craig Martin, then line drawing activities.
Lesson 2- using a viewfinder and grid, drawing from observation and shading skills. Students create an extended line drawing piece.
Lesson 3- How to create an observational drawing from a photograph of a tool, photos included.
Lesson 4- How to use mark making to develop use of tone within your work. How to create an oil pastel mono-print from a photograph or your own drawing.

Keys words included- art, imagination, creativity, drawing, line, composition.

This is a fantastic resource! We used this and i adapted it to working online and I think it is incredibly organised and included a lot of information and resources. It is the best resource I have taken from this website and I even came to check if the author had any other resources here because it was that good!
