Early Religions - Complete Scheme of Work
A complete unit covering the key early religions which shaped humanity, following the migration of humans across the globe, in a 6-8 week term. This package includes 7 lessons (suitable for 45-60 minutes each), a mid-point formative assessment, a summative assessment and a unit overview document for students. Topics covered include “Zoroastrianism”, “Ancient Egypt” and “Pan Gu”, to name a few.
This scheme of work is written in line with NATRE and DfE requirements and covers areas of PSHE/RSHE. It is suitable for experienced teachers of the subject as well as ECTs, non-specialists and cover staff. The assessments can be edited to reflect changes to the learning material and sequence.

A package of units spanning a complete academic year for years 7, 8, 9 and partial academic year for years 10 or 11 (factoring in exam season & mocks timetable). Bundle includes: - Animal Rights - Jesus: Man or God - Philosophy for Beginners - Early Religions - Being Human - Eastern Faiths - Ethics & Morality - Islam - The Question of God - Peace & Conflict - Was Jewish Persecution Religiously Motivated? These units are designed to be delivered as seen so are perfect for departments with non-specialists, ECTs, supply and cover. They are easily adaptable for subject specialists to add their own style or tone if desired. Package comes with all lessons, resources, assessments and mark schemes as necessary. Due to the mature nature of Jewish Persecution and Peace & Conflict it is not advised to deliver these to years 7-8. These schemes have been successfully delivered in one of the highest ranking academies in the East Midlands, with the RS department being deep-dived by OFSTED and both school and department receiving outstanding ratings. All materials are in line with DfE and NATRE requirements and have informed the agreed syllabus for the region.
