Easy Guided Reading Carousel Package

This resource contains everything you need to get started on a new, EASY carousel for guided reading... NOW UPDATED to also include resources for the 5-activity cycle.
(Please note: It does not give you the actual plans or questions, as these need to be tailored to your own pupils and the texts they are studying. It does, however, give you a great starting point for you to use and adapt.)

Easy 4-activity or 5-activity cycle options.
This pack contains:
Consistent group visual symbols, with a space theme (groups are planets, satellites, asteroids, stars and comets.)
Suggested guided reading timetable
Front covers for each group's guided reading folder
Blank planning sheets for each group, covering 8 sessions on one A4 sheet (which is simple enough for the pupils to follow from their folder to see what they need to do - saves time typing it up again!)
'Discovery' activity sheet - pupils work independently in a 'discovery' session, based on a non-fiction text to find out interesting facts. (Black and white & colour versions.)
Group activity cards - print & laminate the cards and display on the table to remind the children (and show any visitors,) what focus they are working on (pre-read, guided read etc.)
