Students arrive to the lesson with a food diary of the last few days. The piece of work is to highlight highly palatable foods and low fat foods. Students can use their diary to explain why they might have higher fat foods due to an evolutionary advantages.

Students watch a series of television adverts and figure out who the target audience is and how it relates to influences food preference. Students use their knowledge to complete a summary homework
