In this resource you will find 2 booklets that are for use by students (and staff) doing the Edexcel A-Level Further Mathematics Decision course.

Revision Booklet
This booklet contains all the definitions and algorithms that students will learn and need to know for both Decision 1 and Decision 2. The booklet has been made so that all the definitions and algorithms are in the same place and easy to find. The booklet is split up into 4 chapters:

  • Definitions (Year 1)
  • Definitions (Year 2)
  • Algorithms (Year 1)
  • Algorithms (Year 2)
I have found whilst teaching decision that having a booklet with all of these in makes it easier for students to revise from and is particularly handy in the first stages of the course.

Revision Checklist
This booklet contains 4 sections:

This has a checklist (which students can tick off in the booklet) for every exercise in the books - something which students should be doing to ensure they are ready for their exams

  • Definitions checklist
This has a checklist (which students can tick off in the booklet) for every definition you will find in the textbooks

  • Algorithms checklist
This has a checklist (which students can tick off in the booklet) for every algorithm you will find in the textbooks

  • Revision ideas, Techniques and Resources
This has a list of ideas for revision, techniques and resources for students

All information in the booklets have been taken from the Edexcel AS and A-Level Further Mathematics Decision 1 and 2 textbooks.
