A 'star challenge' revision activity with questions getting progressively harder. Students have free choice of what questions they answer, with one star questions being worth 1 mark, up to four star questions that are worth 4 marks (and are touching on A-level in difficulty). This was designed for my triple students, however if using with a lower ability set you can always leave out the four star questions. I gave a small prize to the student with the most points at the end, with the idea being that the four star questions are worth more points, but are harder and therefore take longer to answer. The students will therefore end up working at their relevant difficulty level.

Resource includes questions adapted from module 1 of the Edexcel textbook (atomic structure and the periodic table), answer sheets for the students and all answers. I printed the questions onto different colour card for the different difficulties, and then laminated them.
