This is a revision PowerPoint for use with Year 11 students taking the legacy Edexcel GCSE in religious studies. The document focuses on units 1 and 8 and is designed to focus on Christianity and Islam.
This is not a compilation of GCSE questions but some knowledge and understanding ones. It is almost like a large scale quiz and is useful for students to work collaboratively on recalling what they can remember on each topic.
Each of the 8 topics have been broken down into sections and there are a number of questions for each section. As it is in a quiz style, most of the questions demand quick fire answers rather than lengthy written ones.
I have used this as a precursor to answering GCSE style questions as it really tests pupil's knowledge of the intricacies of the topics. The pupils have found this really beneficial and have enjoyed being able to work together on a more fun revision activity.
