A structured interactive reflection and support-planning tool for secondary pupils who experience heightened emotions, reactive behaviour, conflict or difficulty regulating responses.
The InclusiveEd Emotional Regulation and Response Tool helps pupils make sense of difficult situations, heightened emotions and reactive behaviour. It supports reflection on what happened, what they were thinking and feeling, what they needed, how they responded and what could help next time.
Pupils can identify triggers, early warning signs, regulation strategies and support that works for them. The tool also helps them build a practical shared plan that records what they will try, what adults or school can do to help and when the plan should be reviewed.
An optional restorative section explores impact on others, trust, relationships, repair and agreed next steps.
Suitable for KS3 and KS4, SEND, SEMH, pastoral support, behaviour and inclusion work, mentoring and restorative conversations.
Includes the interactive HTML tool, a START HERE instruction PDF and a printable whole reflection and support plan.
This is an educational and pastoral resource and is not a diagnostic or therapeutic tool.
