AQA GCSE Geography lesson for Unit 2C: In this lesson we look at the factors that affect energy supply.

There is a retrieval practice starter based on the content from the previous lesson. We begin by looking at what the ‘energy gap’ is. The students complete a cloze exercise to complete a paragraph explaining the energy gap. We then look at how energy is measured and how much energy is required to power the earth currently. The students have a question sheet to complete as they watch a video. We then look at the factors that affect energy supply. The students ahve a series of information cards to complete the various sections on their hexagon.

We finish with 4-mark GCSE-style evaluation question based on the content of the lesson and the students have some tips and guidance on how to answer it if required. They also have a writing frame.

Hope this saves you some valuable planning time.
