This resources covers the applied ethics section of Euthanasia specifically for the OCR RS A-level, however it may be applicable to other boards also.

This is a complete unit of work including lesson PowerPoint covering the whole unit and a student booklet to accompany, filled with various different tasks and resources, such as case studies and exploration of key questions, to help support student-led learning.

This resource covers: sanctity and quality of life; voluntary vs non-voluntary; passive and active; UK laws; a range of case studies; discussion on whether medical intervention and non-intervention are the same (acts and omissions); whether sanctity of life still has value today; how much autonomy a person should have with regards to the right to die; and the application of both Natural Law and Situation Ethics to the ethical issue of euthanasia.

It is all ready to teach!

Please leave a review and if you like this, check out my other A-level resources which all follow the same pattern of powerpoints and a student booklet.

Happy teaching!
