
This resource encourages students to explore key scenes from Stave 2 ‘A Christmas Carol’ in a challenging and efficient way.
Each group are given an extract/ memory from Stave 2 to read and questions to answer - including challenge questions.
The questions encourage students to make links between Scrooge’s past experiences and his present and record textual evidence.
Through answering the questions, students understand the purpose of The Ghost of Christmas Past’s visit: to teach Scrooge that he needs to confront his past and take the lessons that come from it e.g. the power of imagination, the personal cost of greed etc.
