EYFS Thematic Curriculum Planning Bundle

A supportive planning bundle designed to provide practitioners with a clear starting point for mapping out an academic year within the EYFS. Rooted in Development Matters and the Early Learning Goals, these resources help support curriculum coverage, progression, and purposeful assessment throughout the year.

The bundle includes:

-An ‘at a glance’ thematic curriculum overview featuring three suggested themes across the academic year — one for each term — alongside focus texts, learning opportunities, and enrichment ideas.
-A colour-coded curriculum coverage document highlighting when Development Matters statements are covered across the year to support balanced curriculum progression and coverage.
-A suggested timetable of focused observations linked to the themes throughout the year, supporting purposeful evidence gathering across all areas of learning.
-A knowledge organiser for each theme to share with parents, outlining key learning, vocabulary, focus texts, and curriculum expectations to strengthen home-school links and support understanding of children’s learning.

Suggested planning linked to each theme can also be purchased separately or as individual termly bundles, allowing practitioners flexibility to adapt planning to the needs and interests of their setting and children.
