This is a collaborative group activity (for groups of 2,3 and/or 4 members) on factoring difference of squares. It consists of 12 sections as in each section there are 4 similar problems - one problem for each of the partners. Problems gradually increase in difficulty with each subsequent section. Problem types include:
- difference of squares of monomials ( Level 1)
- difference of square of monomial and square of binomial (Level 2)
- difference of square of binomial and square of monomial (Level 2)
- difference of square of binomials (Level 3)
This activity may be turned into a competition between groups . In each section it is given the certain number of points that each problem solved correctly offers. The number of points are directly proportional to the difficulty level of the problem.
