Festive Countdown with Symbols

This festive countdown resource can be used by teachers and children to explore the theme of celebrations and festivals while developing number recognition and sequencing skills.
Each numbered box from 1 to 25 represents symbols in December leading up to Christmas, helping children understand the concept of time and anticipation linked to special celebrations.
In class, children can open or colour one picture each day, talk about what the symbol means (e.g., stars, angels, candles, or gifts), and share how different people prepare for Christmas or other winter festivals.
The coloured version can be used for matching, sorting, or display, while the black-and-white version allows for creative colouring and fine motor practice.
