A substantial Kandinsky-inspired final piece activity designed to bring together the key skills students have developed throughout an abstract art project.

Students combine shape, line, colour, pattern and composition to create a complete original artwork inspired by Kandinsky while demonstrating their own personal expression.

The activity focuses on composition, balance, unity, emphasis, movement and rhythm, encouraging students to make considered artistic decisions and establish a strong focal point.

Includes learning objectives, key vocabulary, teacher guidance, visual inspiration, main activity, extension challenge and self-assessment.

Ideal as a final outcome for a KS3 Kandinsky unit, as well as for abstract art projects, assessment lessons, cover work and independent creative learning.
