This is a pdf of all of my 7th grade Find the Error activities. In these activities, students are asked to analyze problems that have been answered incorrectly, find the mistake, and work the problem correctly. By analyzing work, students are acquiring a much deeper understanding of the concept.
In my classroom, I have the students complete the activity individually and then discuss their solutions with their group. If there is an inconsistency in the group solutions, they look at the answer key that I have provided in a folder on their table. I go from group to group listening to the rich discussions and helping as needed.
