A simple sheet to enable practice on finding the nth term of a linear sequence, the 10th, 50th and hundredth terms. Ideal for supporting GCSe foundation or as a revision homework for higher ability groups
Guidelines and activities to present a unit on bridges in years 3-6.
In years 3 and 4 the work includes designing and building a bridge to cross a river.
Progression is assured in years 5 and 6 by asking the pupils to design a bridge that can open and close and/or can be lit up.
There are 4 sets of questions (Number, Algebra, Shape, Data) which are mainly A and A* (with some lower grade questions from topics which students struggle with, e.g. percentages, constructions). PLEASE REVIEW / COMMENT. Students work in pairs or small groups to answer the questions. When they finish a question they get it marked and if it is correct they are given cash to the value of the question. There are bank notes which you can put your school name and pictures of your teachers on. The team with the most money at the end could be given a prize.

Attached are the game board, cut-out footballs, game card template and instructions. Students answer questions from the game cards (that you can tailor for any topic) and move the ball through the grid on the board, aiming to eventually score goals. Wrong answers lead to 'tackles' where the opponent gets to move instead. This has proved to be good fun for various Maths topics so far.<br />

I made these to help me save time when marking the books- If I wrote it several times one day I went home and made a sticker for it.. You need to buy the appropriate sized stickers. I got mine from eBay. The one I use the most is "Extra Challenge" which saves you having to write "Here is an extra challenge for you to do". Hope they help you too!
