These sheets are pre-writing pattern activities designed to support early mark-making and fine motor development.

They feature bold tyre track patterns for children to trace, encouraging controlled hand movements and directional awareness. The patterns shown include:
• Zig-zag lines – supporting changes in direction and sharp pencil control
• Wavy/curved tracks – developing fluid arm and wrist movement
• Circular tracks – promoting continuous movement and shape formation

Each sheet uses a motivating “follow the track” theme (e.g. cars on a racing track) to engage children while practising early writing movements. The bold, high-contrast lines provide clear visual guidance, supporting children in developing:
• Pencil grip and pressure control
• Hand–eye coordination
• Left-to-right tracking
• Pre-cursive movement patterns

These activities build the foundational motor patterns needed for letter formation in later writing development.
