This was used for Year 1 but could be adapted upwards
Includes planning, ppts and resources
Pupils begin by looking at how artists are inspired by flora and fauna.
Then, they work on their observational drawings of insects - using photographs and illustrations. We also used large plastic minibeasts.
Could link in with outdoor/Forest School work and go minibeast hunting!
Pupils then looked at the work of Eric Carle and developed their own fantastic minibeast collages, using painted pieces of paper.
Pupils mainly worked in their sketch books, using a range of media and I just printed out LOs to go at the top of each page.
