Fraction starter activities are a great way to introduce your kiddos to the world of fractions. Fractions doesn’t have to challenging and hard for your kiddos to grasp. Make learning how to do the basics fun, engaging and colorful will make it that little bit easier.

This fraction starter worksheet has been designed for those just starting out in fractions. Its light and playful adding that ‘I want to know more’ curiosity. We are not multiplying or simplifying just yet! This fun idea helps students conquer the basics.

Everyone has a name, right? OK, how many letters, vowels and consonants are in your name? – Use the template or a piece of paper (can be scrap) to write a name and then work out as a class how many letters, vowels and constants it has.

What included;

Lesson idea – Brief outline on how you could explain the sheet
Pre-filled template – great use for display and reference
Poster – Nominator and denominator
Template – Blank template on ‘My Name in Fractions’ – Hand each child a blank template

Please note: Watermarks/blurred images will not be in your downloaded file! All files are PDF unless stated otherwise.
