Fractions of an amount - Edexcel Foundation/KS3

Hi,

This lesson is based around the basic understanding how to calculate a fraction of an amount. I have broken this lesson down into 3 stages, dividing 2-3 digit values to access prior knowledge, working out a fraction of an amount and implementing worded questions. There is a good range of differentiation and scaffolding which will cater towards middle to high ability students. I have used a range of AfL to check understanding and cover misconceptions.
The main activities can be displayed on the board for the students to copy into their books as they show their working out. In addition to this, most slides have answers and worked solutions.

I have attached a starter to this lesson so that basic skills can be addressed before the lesson starts. Please read the above before purchasing.
