Free Sensory Story
Created by SEND Inspired

This Spring‑themed rhyming sensory poem/story supports learners through calm, interactive, sensory‑rich experiences. The unit encourages exploration of Spring through touch, sound, visuals and simple communication activities.

The resource is suitable for a wide range of ages. Real photographs make it appropriate for older learners, while the sensory prompts and illustrations work equally well for younger children. All activities are easy to deliver and require minimal preparation. Most items can be found in classrooms or around the home, helping staff avoid time‑consuming resourcing.

This unit works well in specialist settings, EOTAS packages, home learning, nurture groups and early years, as well as with older learners who benefit from sensory approaches.
