Description
Pack 1: passé composé and +

Passé composé:

You will learn about the passé composé, its use and structure and some practical exercises. When the exercises are finished, you will play a card game: “the super mime game”. It will help your students to assimilate the conjugation of the passé composé.

While you are explaining the formation of the past participle, you should take a short break. Why? Because the theory they will see will create all the past participles that exist, except for those of irregular verbs. So that they can conjugate everything easily, play one or two games of the “participle game” and this rule will no longer hold any secrets for them.

Past participle agreements (accords) :

As far as past participle agreements are concerned, there is a theoretical scheme that will allow you to understand point by point what the specificities of the agreements are. This diagram helps to assimilate the rules of agreement with to be (être), to have (avoir) and pronominal verbs.

To make sure that it is understood, you will play a game called “dynamic dictation”.

Plus-que-parfait:

It will be easy to understand and use after all the games they have played. You will see the theory as usual, and then you will play tic-tac-toe, but with special rules.

You can give your students homework with more than 89 sentences to conjugate gradually.

Pack 2: imparfait et +

Imparfait:

Everyone uses the imperfect tense at least once a day to describe something. With this pack, your learners will be able to do the same. You will start by showing the dynamic diagram which clearly explains how and why this tense is used to talk about the past.

To support it, you will have an oral production with Jack, which will consist of telling him about his old habits and his old life. He’s got amnesia! You will see after this oral production they will be hot, and you will be able to play the card game of “super (dead) character”. It’s a fun game that will allow you to practise what you have acquired. Watch this video and I’ll explain it.

The passé recent:

It is one of the simplest tenses in the language of Molière. You will explain the rule in a dynamic way and to practise it through an oral production, an exercise and a game “le morpion 4”.

Let’s give them some practical exercises to do at home so that they can see that they have assimilated all this.
