

Literature analysis lesson aimed at top set GCSE classes or A Level / IB DP (Higher) classes. Based on two extracts of Dracula by Bram Stoker in translation, examining how the author creates tension, suspense and apprehension in his characterisation of Dracula.
The lesson includes:
- grammar task on homophones
- brief introduction of context
- thematic analysis of extract 1
- useful vocabulary with etymology
- group discussion questions
- mini group independent analysis task on extract 2. Working on literary devices - followed by possible answers on the slide (animated)
- creative task
- analysed extract 2 as last slide (hidden)
