My name is Christopher Palmer and I am a languages practitioner. I am now in my tenth year of practitioning and I have a wealth of experience of liaising with the standard EdExcel GCSE French, Cambridge International GCSE French, EdExcel A-Level French and beginner's Mandarin courses. My experience has not only resided in the UK, but I have been residing in far east Asia and I am now currently settled in Saudi Arabia. I have published a vast array of resources which span Key Stage 2-5.

This resource exclusively looks at the imperfect tense in French which is introduced at Key Stage 3 level and explores regular verbs in the imperfect form.

It also gives students the opportunity to learn how to describe events in the past, in particular the use of interruptions using regular verbs. This also gives the students a profound opportunity to understand the distinction between the imperfect tense and the perfect tense.

More description of how one used to look when they were younger is covered in part 3, when irregular verbs are introduced.

Happy teaching and learning!
