I have created a PowerPoint, homework and added another worksheet for pupils books covering the new AQA (9-1) syllabus on Antagonistic Muscle pairs and muscle contractions.
The PowerPoint contains a lot of information for pupils to take in as well as a lot of questions that pupils can have a go at before the correct answer is given. There is also an activity that pupils can volunteer for as a class activity and interact, then give their own examples to show their understanding. The plenary questions at the end of the PowerPoint are simple closed questions, however teachers can expand on these to where they see fit in the class.
The little activity sheet can be used near the beginning of the lesson once antagonistic muscle pairs are explained and the basic biceps and triceps pairing are used. It will help to get the pupils to explain the actions in their own words.
The homework sheet is only a few questions out of 10, however these will help to consolidate pupils knowledge and understanding of the lesson that has been taught.
