This is a unit of five lessons that I created due to finishing our sequencing for KS3 early, incorporating a range of geographical skills and provides pupils with a different perspective of what geography can be.
This covers:
- Location and crime
- Pirates, smugglers, and trade routes
- Wildlife crime
- Illegal goods and borders
- Legal and illegal migration
Geographical skills pupils will use:
- Mapping (reading and plotting)
- 4-figure grid references
- Evaluative skills
- Compass points
- Decision making
My pupils LOVED this topic, and so these lessons really helped with engagement. My school is a Apple School and so these are planned around using OneNote, however, I have included Word Documents of these pages which could be used for planning if working in books, or for use as worksheets.
