This is a fully scaffolded lesson exploring the how the world order is changing in contemporary Global Politics. There are ten tasks altogether, with all resources provided. Very discussion based, so should take at least three hour long lessons.

The lesson starts with students considering the nature of power in their own countries, before considering how state can be classified (superpowers, regional powers etc). The lesson continues through and inquiry into polarity, exploring uni, bi, multi and non polarity and the case for and against these existing. The lesson then moves onto considering the nature of US power, and how this impacts polarities, before concluding with an exploration of post-structuralism and the decline of state power. Finally, there is an essay plan to complete. A planning proforma and mark scheme have been provided.

This lesson is good to go as soon as your download it, and the lesson is easily adaptable and editable as there is no branding or fancy gimmicks on the slides. Links to the videos are in the notes on the slides. It will transfer easily to Teams, Google or any other online format. The Word Doc for students to work on a PPT to guide the lesson and provoke discussion.
