A couple of lessons focusing on dominion and stewardship: the belief that Christians have dominion over animals; beliefs about the role of Christians as stewards of animals and the natural environment and how changing understandings of the effects of human activities on the environment have affected that role.

Starts with key concept recap and some discussion points. Students have an A3 sheet to add to/complete throughout the lesson, which involves Bible analysis, an introduction to the key ideas and scholars, and further discussion points. Final activity is for students to make a leaflet or mini docu-video on ‘Christianity and Environmental Ethics’, for which they will need to research individuals and/or organisations. Homework to complete essay and create revision resource. All easily adaptable.

Resources included: PPT, detailed lesson plan, A3 sheet to be completed during lesson activities, some environmental issue resources for reference during leaflet/mini docu-video activity (some other suggested resources/websites in PPT notes). Students will need textbooks and Bibles.
