Spreadsheet to calculate grade boundaries for the new GCSE (AQA) for Spanish

As there are currently no published official grade boundaries for this new specification, this spreadsheet calculates 4 different methods of assigning grades. You can then apply your professional judgement to work out the most appropriate grade to give for mock exams.

Simply input your students’ raw marks. The spreadsheet will calculate:

• 2025 boundaries (most recent from old spec)

• Average of all old spec grade boundaries

• A high estimate - based on the 3 highest previous years

• A low estimate - based on the 3 lowest previous years

• Also calculates percentage scores

Calculates grades for overall, plus a grade for each individual exam/component (listening, reading, speaking, writing).
