This is a guided task designed to help English GCSE students compare and critically evaluate two texts.
These resources include a PPT and accompanying student worksheet. The tasks introduce each text separately and ask a focus question. In addition, there is a comparison question with example answers on the PPT. This is followed by an evaluation task with examples again on the PPT. There is also an exam style question that asks students to compare the writers’ ideas and perspectives in the texts, along with a short example answer on the final slide.
The resources are editable so you could edit them according to the level of your students. Useful resources if you’re introducing the GCSE comparison question to a class for the first time.
