This set of lessons is taken from the full KS3 Chaucer Tales scheme which can be found in my shop: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resources/shop/reaton290. However, these 6 lessons could be used as a mini scheme to introduce KS3 students to the history of the English Language.
This scheme contains:
- Visually interactive PPTs, differentiated for a high and low ability class
- A key word at the start of each lesson with clear learning objectives
- A series of tasks that are challenging and expose students to texts that link to British heritage, as per the new curriculum
- Articles that are modern and relevant, and could be adapted to suit the needs of year 9 students starting the new GCSE course
- A range of activities that suit visual, audial and kinaesthetic learners
- Opportunity for extended writing pieces
