I made this last year.

The files include relevant IDA point for all the topics in papers 1-3 that the students can use for evaluation in a 16 mark question.

Example below - its set up in a table format

MEMORY

STM and LTM
Lab studies (Peterson and Peterson) – lack EV as they are artificial and contrived +controlled and objective – so high in empiricism
Bahrick – +high in ecological validity – look at high school year books
Cognitive approach – eval strengths and weaknesses (see separate file) – links to memory and has practical applications which has aided our understanding of human memory – in school we know due to Miller than chunking can enhance revision
Types of data – lab studies produce quantitative data – refer to + and –

MSM
Reductionist –
Brain scanning techniques – cognitive approach – high in empiricism – identify areas that are active when performing certain tasks (Beardsley 1997) – offers support for the MSM as provides evidence for different memory stores
Case studies – Clive Wearing and HM explain what they show with regards to memory stores then – eval + and – (rich and fruitful data, cannot generalise as small samples so not representative)
