Every worksheet in this pack uses the same fixed −7 to 7 bead number line, so students can focus on the maths rather than adjusting to a new layout. They shade, mark and read the line to work with order, range and distance, and the wording used in maths questions.

The pack gives explicit practice with language used in maths questions: at least, at most, consecutive and between … inclusive. It is built for practice and intervention at the start of secondary school. The symbols <, >, ≤ and ≥ are introduced through integer positions, order and bounds on the number line.
