Interpreting Karnaugh Maps

This macro-enabled spreadsheet is designed to practice determining a Boolean algebra expression from a Karnaugh Map. Pressing the ‘Generate KMap’ button randomly populates the Karnaugh Map with zeroes and ones. The learner then uses a series of dropdown lists to select the necessary minterms required to build a complete sum-of-products expression.

As it is possible to derive more than one correct Boolean expression from a Karnaugh Map in some circumstances, pressing the ‘Show Solutions’ button will list all correct sum-of-products expressions for that particular Karnaugh Map.
