Intro to Media: Audience

I like to use this lesson at the beginning of all my KS4 courses (Btec and GCSE). This whole lesson explores one of the main media key concepts: audience. It introduces students to the NRS social grade and Young & Rubicam’s 4Cs concept. A homework task is included and asks students to log their own and the media consumption of a parent over a week - this sets them up for the next lesson which explores primary and secondary audiences.
