This resource provides a three lesson project that aims to introduce students to Access database through an engaging and easy-to-follow scenario. Students can either work on the project independently using clearly explained steps and video demonstrations or participate in an interactive lesson led by the teacher.
Originally created for my class, this resource serves as an introduction to database software for the iGCSE Paper 2 topic but can be also used for year 7 -9. The project covers the following skills:
- Exploring the benefits of database software compared to paper-based systems.
- Understanding database terminology.
- Importing external data into a database.
- Creating new tables.
- Exploring different data types.
- Understanding relationships between tables.
- Utilizing queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
