This scheme of work is best delivered at the start of the Drama GCSE course n order to introduce students to a variety of scripts and extracts, whilst regularly assessing them in performance and developing skills in blocking, rehearsing and performing scenes.

The scheme moves through accessible, relevant and interesting plays whilst offering students the opportunity to engage, study and understand the context and themes before practically exploring.

Each unit breaks down to roughly 5 x 60 minute lessons, making this scheme of work around 20 hours in total. Each lesson is fairly flexible and could be ammended to suit you timetable.

In each unit description there is a breakdown of what is included in each lesson plan, with a corresponding power point resource, should you require it.

Overall a very good SoL on different styles/ genres of scripts. However, some resources are missing e.g. the resource pack for research into All My Sons and I know you can't reproduce the script extracts but clearer indication of scenes would be helpful.
