This collection of introductory resources enable students to explore some basic Shakespearean language. There is the opportunity to develop awareness of some Shakespearean lexis through the matching activity (glossary can be used alongside to differentiate) and use them in their own creative disagreement using insults; I have used this to springboard into a piece of drama from the scripts they draft - the students love it!! Peer assessment grid included to focus their work.

There is also a word search starter resource to open their eyes to the breadth of the playwright's works. This leads quite nicely into biographical work and research activities.
