Task 3: Water Use Comparison - Writing Scaffold
Student write 4 lines comparing your water use with people in France, India and Mali. Writing scaffold and data provided on PPT
Task 4: reading divided bar graphs (shared practice) followed by individual practice
Task 5: Create a divided bar graph
Student create a bar graph showing the location of fresh water on the planet (Rivers/Lakes, underground, glaciers)
Task 6: Map analysis
Students describe the distribution of water stress and surpless and self/peer assess.
Consolidation Task: Student answer the title question (what and where is the water problem?) in 50 words.
Learning outcomes:
Identify where we can find fresh water on earth
Describe which regions of the world have the least and most access to fresh water
Success Criteria:
Create a divided bar graph showing the sources of fresh water.
