It's not just COOKING AND SEWING! Posters

As a Cooking, Nutrition, Food Preparation, Hospitality or Family & Consumer Sciences, Sewing, Textiles or Design teacher, do you have to regularly remind colleagues, students, peers and parents that there is a whole lot more to your subject than just sewing or cooking?

We have so many literacy, numeracy, wellbeing, cultural and other skills built into our subject that we teach our students to seamlessly incorporate them into their daily lives through just ‘sewing’ and just ‘cooking’. Majority of the time our students and their parents don’t even know how much more we are actually teaching them.

These posters provides a small snapshot, in an easy to read manner, of the skills developed through sewing and cooking. It’s the perfect thing to refer anyone to when they degrade you and say ‘it’s just sewing’ or ‘it’s just cooking’.
