This is a 15-20 minute assembly or tutor time PSHE session on keeping safe both walking to and from school, in the local community and online. It can be shortened or lengthened to be used for a whole lesson. It follows the Relationships, Sex & Health Curriculum introduced in 2020 and explains how students can keep safe. It was delivered to KS3, KS4 and KS5 with excellent feedback. The PowerPoint contains videos, discussion tasks but no written tasks. It includes:

Why we should keep safe
Times we need to stay safe
7 ways to keep safe
How to stay safe on the journey to and from school
Crime statistics (Using Birmingham figures but can easily be changed to another city using the link in the notes)
Knife Crime
Staying safe online
Discussion of quote for plenary
Two downladed clipped videos that will never disappear.
This session is suitable for Ages 11-18 (KS3, KS4, KS5, Years 7-13, Grades 6-12) and can be easily adapted.
