A sequence of fun lessons aimed to teach children the priciples of multipliction linked to repeated addition. The planning also explores using known facts to derive new ones.

Based on the book ‘Amanda Bean’s Amazing Dream’ I have created three lessons complete with starters, differentiated work sheets and resources. My year 3 class loved these maths lessons and it really helped embed the foundations of multiplication. Using the story as a hook allows children to learn about multiplication in a fun and creative way.
