An exciting Maths investigation based on the book 'The Lorax' by Dr Seuss. This lesson explores the possible colour combinations that can be created by joining different coloured tufts to the trunks of the Truffula trees. This is a complete lesson with flipchart, lesson plan, recording sheet and photocopy sheet for children to make the combinations before recording them. Children are extended to explain how they solved the problem and consider what they would need to do in a new colour is added.
